Both facilities are fully secured with wrought iron fencing and electronically controlled gates. There is limited assigned-vehicle parking inside the complex for added security. All housing units have central heat with individual controls, and an emergency communication system making it possible for residents to summon emergency help when needed. Both facilities have convenient and clean laundry rooms. Each apartment is wired for cable television if desired. Some ocean view rooms are available.  Residents have many opportunities for an active, independent lifestyle. Activities include trips, parties, classes, social hours and time for fellowship. A monthly newsletter keeps residents informed of upcoming events. A chaplain is available to provide spiritual support to all residents. Transportation is provided to local stores and medical appointments.  Eldorado, built in 1971, is seven stories high and contains 86 senior housing units. Two sizes of apartments are available: studio and one bedroom, both with an efficiency wall kitchen. Each unit has carpeting, private bath, ample closet space and storage area. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, range, and a sink with garbage disposal. Two elevators provide fast and easy access to all floors, lobby, seventh floor lounge and recreation area including sundeck.  Mar Vista, built in 1994, is six stories high and contains 72 senior housing units. Each one bedroom apartment has carpeting, ample closet space, and a balcony. The kitchen includes refrigerator, range and sink with garbage disposal. Two elevators provide fast and easy access to all floors. Additional amenities include an attractive lobby, inviting lounge, art and crafts room, computer room, and landscaped garden area. |
